Illinois Can't Even Pay Office Utility Bills For Legislators

- National - September 4th, 2010 - State Sen. Dave Luechtefeld was in session in Springfield earlier this year when he got a call from his secretary back in his district office. She was calling from her cell phone because the district office phones, which are paid for by the state of Illinois, had been disconnected for nonpayment. "That was the first time," recalled Luechtefeld, R-Okawville. His office phones were later cut off again, with the state still months behind in paying for the service.
He's now getting renewed threats from the phone company of a third cutoff. "It's laughable," he said, "but it's not." It's the same story at the district offices of Illinois' elected legislators across the state: Phone, utilities, garbage and rent payments months behind, prompting a monthly flurry of terse late notices and cutoff threats to offices with the state emblem on the doors. Of course, in a state where teachers are getting laid off, hospitals are struggling and small businesses are failing because the state isn't paying its bills, the office budget plight of a relative handful of politicians isn't going to cause anyone to take to the streets.
But the news this week of a northern Illinois legislator who was forced to shut down her district office because the state had stiffed her landlord for so long certainly drives home the depth of Illinois' $11 billion budget crisis. Forced to appease both his supporters and the warmonger right-wing, who denounce him as a Muslim and a Marxist, Obama resorted to Orwellian DoubleSpeak. He could only announce an end to the war by praising the president who started it and the troops who fought it. Yet, as most earthlings, if not Americans, surely know by now, the war was based on a lie and on intentional deception. The American troops died for a lie.
President Obama spoke of the cost to Americans of liberating Iraq, but is Iraq liberated or is Iraq in the hands of American puppet politicians and still occupied by 50,000 American troops and 200,000 private mercenaries and “contractors,” governed out of the largest embassy in the world, essentially a fortress? President Obama did not speak of the cost to Iraqis of being “liberated.” The uncounted Iraqi deaths, estimates of which range from 100,000 to 1,000,000, most being women and children, were not mentioned.
Neither were the uncounted orphaned and maimed children, the four million displaced Iraqis, the flight from Iraq of the professional middle class, the homes, infrastructure, villages and towns destroyed, along with whatever remained of America’s reputation. Oil And Gas Platform In Gulf Of Mexico Catches Fire

An oil and gas production platform in the Gulf of Mexico caught fire Thursday morning, reigniting the political debate over the safety of offshore wells. The fire began near an oil storage tank on top of the platform about 80 miles south of Vermilion Bay, La., while 13 workers were painting and water-blasting, forcing them to evacuate as flames engulfed the facility, according to Mariner Energy, the platform operator. A dozen of the workers were able to don brightly colored survival gear known as "Gumby suits." Clinging together in the water for two hours, they drifted about a mile before they were rescued by the Crystal Clear, a supply vessel that rushed over from a rig about 25 miles away.
The blaze was extinguished in the late afternoon. It did not appear that the fire triggered a crude oil leak like the one that occurred after the April 20 blowout of BP's Macondo well. That blowout, about 200 miles east of the Mariner platform, caused the worst oil spill in U.S. history and has forced BP to set aside billions to clean up the environmental damage and compensate gulf businesses and residents. A Coast Guard official initially said that Mariner Energy, which has a history of fires and safety violations, reported an oil sheen 100 feet wide and a mile long.
But Patrick Cassidy, director of investor relations for the company, later said that automated equipment on the platform had shut down its seven producing wells and that "in an initial flyover of the facility, no oil sheen was seen on the water." Over the past week, the platform, in the Vermilion block 380, had been producing 1,400 barrels a day of crude oil and 9.2 million cubic feet a day of natural gas. Nonetheless, with the Gulf Coast still reeling from the massive BP spill, the fire brought new calls for tougher regulation just as the oil industry and the White House were hoping that public concerns would abate.

They are trying to figure out why Lehman Brothers was allowed to collapse, with the belief that the failure of Lehman Brothers caused the financial crisis of 2008. The truth is, the failure of Lehman Brothers was a result of the crisis and allowing them to fail was the only correct decision the government made during the crisis. The pain that was felt after the collapse of Lehman Brothers is nothing compared to the pain that will come when we begin to feel the effects of bailing out the rest of Wall Street. U.S. second quarter GDP growth was revised down on Friday from 2.4% to 1.6%. In order to get this 1.6% GDP growth, the U.S. government had to spend $3.7 trillion on bailouts, stimulus bills, the buying of mortgage backed securities, and other commitments.
General Motors reported today that their August deliveries fell 25% from one year ago to 185,176 vehicles. The U.S. government used "cash for clunkers" to buy GDP growth in 2009, but that growth stole from future automobile sales. NIA believes that GM's sales decline is a sign that the U.S. will likely see a sharp contraction in GDP beginning in the third-quarter, which will lead to the Federal Reserve implementing the mother of all quantitative easing and cause a massive sell off in the U.S. dollar. Christina Romer, outgoing Chairwoman of Obama's Council of Economic Advisers, today called for more government spending and less taxes as a way to bring down unemployment. The combination of more government spending and less taxes equals massive inflation, but this represents the state of mind in Washington today. Inflation is still the last thing on their minds because they don't see it yet. Even though we might not see massive across the board price inflation at this time, gold and silver prices have been surging ever since NIA released its article "Gold and Silver Capitulation is Near" on July 28th.
Gold is very close to breaking its all time nominal high of $1,264.90 per ounce set during June and silver is getting ready to test the critical $20-$21 per ounce resistance level. Rising gold and silver prices indicate that the U.S. is headed for an explosion in budget deficits that will rise far beyond what it can pay for through borrowing. Leading Chinese economists are now calling Japanese debt less risky than U.S. debt and with the Japanese savings rate in decline, the U.S. will soon have nobody left to borrow from. The only option will be monetization and already the Federal Reserve is getting ready to buy $10 billion to $30 billion per month in U.S. treasuries to keep its balance sheet at inflated levels.

- Alternative - September 4th, 2010 - Furious that state involvement in major terror attacks is being exposed to a wider audience than ever before via the Internet, a UK think tank closely affiliated with the Downing Street has called for authorities to infiltrate conspiracy websites in an effort to "increase trust in the government". "A Demos report published today, The Power of Unreason, argues that secrecy surrounding the investigation of events such as the 9/11 New York attacks and the 7/7 bombings in London merely adds weight to unsubstantiated claims that they were "inside jobs," reports the London Independent.
In other words, the fact that the overwhelming amount of evidence indicates that both 7/7 and 9/11 were "inside jobs" of one form or another, and that huge numbers of people are now aware of this via the increasing influence of the Internet, is hampering efforts to commit more acts of terror, therefore the government needs to change its strategy. According to two subsequent documents put out by the World Bank, new guidelines dictate that in order to qualify for World Bank lending, nations must implement population reduction objectives as outlined by the World Bank and UN Population Fund.

In the World Bank’s Reproductive Health Action Plan 2010-2015, published in April of this year, the Bank structurally speaks of Millennium Development Goals number 5 (or MDG5), which stands for “Reproductive Health” (or RH). As we know, this is eugenics-new-speak for population control. You’d think that the sorts of people in the business of saving lives, especially those who deal in cancer ‘treatments’, would have a hobby of reading the sorts of scholarly papers I dug through to compile this.
From there you’d think that from what they learn via this hypothetical hobby they’d be constantly excited to tell their next cancer patient about the latest simple and often natural remedies they can also do themselves to have the best shot at surviving. But the fact is this isn’t how it works. In the wake of building this presentation I’ve never been more convinced the the overarching totality of the medical establishment are a massive group of psychopaths. When they know about proven effective and safe treatments, or are shown them by their patients, and they consciously dismiss and shrug them off, how can these people not be deranged sociopaths when their patients face horrifying death?
If you’ve ever witnessed the process of death via brain cancer for instance, you’d catch my drift. I had an aunt die this way and it’s amongst the most disturbing ways you could ever contemplate your last days on earth. Now my mom has lung cancer and they’ve pissed of the wrong person. May their monopoly on suffering go crashing into the abyss. The cure for cancer isn’t one single silver bullet if only we could find it (or they’d stop suppressing it).
